Sami has been a member of PDO’s Managing Director’s Committee since July 2011. In 2019 Sami assumed the role of Technical Director, being responsible for all technical functions in the Company including setting the Company’s future strategy. During 2011-2019 Sami had served as Infrastructure Director where he was responsible for eight distinctive departments that reflect the vast scale of the services provided, followed by Oil Director South, where he was accountable for managing the hydrocarbon resources of the largest oil producing asset in PDO. In a career spanning over 30 years, Sami has held multiple Project Management positions which include key multibillion EOR projects. In the early part of his career, Sami executed multiple roles in concept engineer, front-end engineering, production operations and production technology.

Sami obtained Bachelor and Masters’ degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK in 1990.
